All academics, experts and interested individuals are
welcome to take part in the Society activities. To do so, you are invited to
apply to be an individual member. A Country or Area Representative (CAR) has
been appointed for each area and country. He or she works as a liaison with the
WCTR society, and is here to help you to become a member and to obtain all the
information needed on membership benefits. You can find your representative on
each region's webpage (on the left).
Membership
is for a three-year period which goes from one World Conference on Transport
Research to the following Conference. The current membership period runs from
June 2010 til May 31, 2013, including the last 12th WCTRS which has been held on
July 11-15, 2010 in Lisbon.
Many
existing members renewed their membership when registering for the Lisbon
conference, and all who attended the conference automatically became members.
For those who did not join then, reduced membership fees have been agreed for
the period from 1st January 2012 to 31st March 2013 as listed
below.

Secretariat. Once your payment has been received you will receive an electronic
confirmation of your renewal.
Current
members are invited to update their personal details as input to the on-line
Directory. Members can also keep their information updated subsequently. Simply
click on My Profile, make the necessary changes and validate them.
1. Benefits of membership
Each individual member is entitled to:
· receive the Newsletters of the WCTRS which will include information on the preparation, themes, and organization of the 13th WCTR, on the activity of Special Interest Groups, on international scientific events which have been pointed out by WCTRS members, or on events in which the WCTRS will take part; a reduced price for the Proceedings of the 6th (1992), 7th (1995), 8th (1998), 9th (2001) and 10th (2004) Conferences;
· an online access to the selected proceedings of last conferences: Istanbul, Berkeley and Lisbon, through a section of the website restricted to WCTRS members
· a reduced price for Transport Policy, the Journal of the WCTR Society;
· be registered in the Directory of the Society, which is widely distributed to international organizations and accessible on-line. It includes the specific fields of research or expertise of each member;
· participate in specific activities of the WCTRS such as SIGs.

· Carefully fill in the individual application form you can get below. Please print it and return it to the Secretariat;
· Do not send any payment now: upon receipt of your application form, an invoice will be returned to you.
